Stabull Governance Overview
Stabull Governance provides a structured framework for $STABUL token holders to participate in shaping the future direction of the protocol. It enables the community to signal preferences on key decisions, while allowing the Stabull Labs team to better align development and operational priorities with user needs.
Governance is conducted via Snapshot, an industry-standard off-chain voting platform that allows token holders to vote without incurring gas costs. Voting power is based on token balances at the time a proposal is created, ensuring a clear and consistent basis for each vote.
At launch, governance supports $STABUL held on Ethereum and Base, with voting power calculated on a 1:1 basis. Tokens must be held in wallets directly controlled by the voter to be eligible. Assets held on centralised exchanges or custodial platforms do not confer voting rights unless withdrawn prior to a proposal snapshot. Support for Polygon will be introduced in due course.
Proposals can be submitted by wallets holding more than 25,000 $STABUL. Mechanisms are also in place to allow smaller holders to collaborate and participate in the proposal process.
Governance outcomes are advisory in nature. Approved proposals are intended to guide the actions of the core team, who will endeavour to implement decisions where they are feasible, secure, and aligned with the long-term sustainability of the protocol.
The governance process includes a dedicated discussion period for each proposal, allowing community members to review, question, and debate proposals before voting. This ensures that decisions are informed, transparent, and broadly understood.
As Stabull continues to grow and integrate more deeply within the DeFi ecosystem, governance will play an increasingly important role in determining key parameters such as asset listings, fee structures, incentive mechanisms, and overall protocol strategy.
This section provides the core resources required to participate in governance, including voting terms, proposal guidelines, and step-by-step instructions for casting votes.
